The story behind Klay Master

A workshop table covered in children's clay creations

Klay Master began in a home pottery studio. Our founder grew up in a family of potters, making clay creatures in the studio, and by the age of ten was selling her wonky, much-loved ornaments at local markets. Many of today’s Klay Master activities started life back then.

Growing up with clay builds more than models. Shaping something in 3D sharpens fine motor skills, problem solving and the confidence that comes from making something from nothing.

Those early makes grew into Klay Master workshops: holiday programmes and after-school sessions with groups of up to 40 children. Every child finishes their piece, and every piece reflects the person who made it. Clay art is a celebration of what makes each of us unique.

The best part is watching kids discover the magic of clay, especially the ones who don’t think of themselves as “artsy”.

Now Klay Master is bringing that experience home. It’s a chance for families to step away from screens, make something hands-on together and create something tangible that is uniquely theirs.

We love supporting parents and teachers to share the joy of clay. If you have any questions about Klay Master for your children or group, please get in touch.
